PATCHOGUE, NY — A Patchogue brother-sister duo recently launched a new "athleisure" clothing business during the coronavirus pandemic. Brittney Sogluizzo, 28, and Jason Bihn, 24, started Revamp Fitness in January. It's the first business venture for the siblings, who always wanted to build a business related to fitness and a healthy lifestyle. "We are both extremely active people who love health and fitness," Sogluizzo told Patch. "Growing up we always talked about starting some sort of business where we could share our love and enthusiasm for fitness." According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, athleisure is defined as "casual clothing designed to be worn both for exercising and for general use." "Not only did we have the extra time to focus on creating a business, but it was a great time to encourage people to either continue or start to build a healthy lifestyle," she said. While the business is online, the siblings, who were raised in Patchogue, continue to hold their hometown close to their heart. We have also seen this town grow into the town it is today — full of opportunity, new business potential, so much energy and excitement. "Patchogue is special because it is where we have created bonds so strong that even after time away, when we all come together it is like time has never passed." Revamp Fitness sells clothes for adults living a "balanced and active lifestyle." Sogluizzo and Bihn also hope to start a line of children's clothing. "We want to provide clothing that will make you feel confident to take on the day but also comfortable whether it's for a casual or training activity," Sogluizzo said.
