Press release from Town of Arlington: 03/29/2021 The Arlington Committee on Tourism and Economic Development (ATED) is bringing our annual Patriots Day weekend celebration virtual. ATED invites residents and businesses to celebrate the spirit of Menotomy and our Revolutionary War history in fun, safe ways! Let's deck out our town in red, white, and blue! The Uncle Sam Patriots' Day Challenge Decorating Contest invites residents to decorate their homes in red, white, and blue. The contest includes six categories with a winner and runner up in each: Front Door, Window, Front of house, Yard, Car, and Bicycle. The three-judge panel is from the arts community, the business community, and the Arlington Historical Society. Sign up to the Uncle Sam's Patriots' Day Challenge by Wednesday, April 14th at 5:00 p.m. Have your entry ready by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th. Winners will be selected based on those who best show the spirit of Menotomy. Shop Arlington First gift certificates, now redeemable at any business in Arlington, will be awarded. Show off your colonial history knowledge at the online Patriots' Day Trivia Challenge on Monday, April 19, at 7:30 pm. The contest, hosted via Zoom, will consist of six rounds of five questions each, focusing on colonial and local history, including an Arlington-specific round. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place. Sign up to this Zoom session. Shop Local! Remember to Shop Arlington First!
