Taste of Greeneville is a highly anticipated annual culinary event showcasing the area's great food & beverages. Local restaurants and others in the food industry will provide attendees with samples of food, drinks or desserts that they proudly display in their decorated space. Some will offer coupons and specials that only those attending will receive. This year is a take-out event. Guests will be able to take their tastings with them to enjoy at home or perhaps at one the limited options located on the fairgrounds property. All proceeds from the event will benefit the programs of two local non-profit organizations the GFWC Greeneville Woman’s Club and Main Street: Greeneville, co-hosts of the event. Event premier sponsor is The Capitol Theatre of Greeneville and TEVET. Organizers are excited to announce the return of this event having taken a hiatus in 2020. Necessity for more space for social distancing requires a new venue so the move to the Greene County Fairgrounds is a welcome option. The event will take place inside the Commercial Building rain or shine. Entrance into the fairgrounds and all parking will be through Gate 2 (near the livestock area). All cars will come through Gate 2. The gate will open at 5:30pm and cars will be directed to the designated parking area and attendees to the event space itself. Attendees are reminded to wear comfy footwear as you may encounter, grass, gravel, asphalt, cement and uneven surfaces. Event times are 6:00pm - 8:00pm with Tastings being served until 7:30pm.A limited number of tickets are available.
