EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora will deliver his second State of the Town address Wednesday at 7 p.m. His remarks will be made via Zoom. A recording of this meeting will be made available for viewing within 24 hours of the meeting and it will be posted to the town's website. Last week, Carfora told Patch that interacting with the community is a highlight of his job. "I truly enjoy speaking to residents," he said. "I'm excited, and honored, to have this role." Carfora, who saw his 2021-2022 budget be approved by the Board of Finance last week, said money matters are top of the State of the Town agenda. "I'm looking forward to presenting our budget to the town and passing it along to the Town Council," he said. "We're putting the right building blocks in place to create a realistic and honest financial foundation for this community." Carfora said that his administration and town departments have had their work cut out for them but are up to the challenge. "We have a lot of work to do to overcome the financial chaos that was created and handed to us," he said. "Our team has stepped up to this challenge. We will continue to march on together and work hard to rebuild a town government that drives both growth, and opportunity for all residents."
