On January 19, 2021, the School City of Hammond Board of Trustees adopted a resolution to reimburse two years (2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school year) of textbook rental fees to families that were qualified for textbook assistance and had paid all or a portion of their technology or lab fees only for the applicable years.
The SCH Finance department conducted intensive research to identify those parents or guardians who qualify for a refund. The published list of those who will receive a refund is listed below. SCH will distribute refund checks through the U.S. Mail on April 1.
To remain consistent, please note refund checks are by name to those marked in PowerSchool as parent or guardian of a student.
In some cases, this means issued checks will contain more than one name. If your name is not on this list and you feel it should be, you must provide proof of payment documentation and contact information to the Executive Director of Business Services for review of your case. This information should be brought to the Administration Center located at 41 Williams Street in Hammond.
