The 37th Annual Moonshine Rod Run will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 and Saturday, June 19, 2021 at City Park in Newport, Tennessee. The Moonshine Rod Run is one of the most successful car shows in the Southeastern United States attracting more than 500 Collector, Classic, and Muscle Cars and Trucks. Our picturesque, 30 acre park provides an abundance of shade and is the idea venue for this annual gathering of car enthusiasts, families, and friends who join us every year on the Father’s Day weekend. This year we have several special guests attending our car show. Come out and meet Mark & Digger from Discovery Channel’s hit TV series Moonshiners, former NASCAR Busch Series (LMSD) Champion LD Ottinger, and others. So, grab a few Moonshine Rod Run show shirts and get’em autographed! Sample food and ice cream from our local vendors, enjoy complimentary pool passes, and participate in a poker run and other games. The Moonshine Rod Run is a “Family Friendly” gathering. This event has been presented for the last 37 years by The Hard Times Street Rod Club, a 501.C.3 Charitable Organization chartered in the State of Tennessee. Proceeds from The Moonshine Rod Run benefit organizations and individuals in local East Tennessee communities in accordance with needs identified by the club members.
