SANTA MONICA, CA — A vaccine clinic in Santa Monica provided people experiencing homelessness their first doses and plans to offer the group second doses in April. The clinic was held in March at Annenberg Access Center - The People Concern, 503 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica. Staff registers people for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Santa Monica. (Courtesy of The People Concern) "These events are important because they help protect our clients and stop the spread of COVID-19," Christina, a staff member at The People Concern said. James is 60 years old, has pre-emphysema and was born with asthma. He's worked at the Cheesecake Factory and Sidewalk Cafe and feels ready to return to working again. "You know, I work in the food industry, restaurant industry," James said. "I'd like to get back to work but I'd like to be safe, so preventative measures are necessary."
