Possessing music stylings of Soul, Blues, Jazz, Inspirational music with her vocal range transcending from tenor to first soprano. Her career began as a child prodigy dancer and evolved into Percussions, Band Leader and Music Director. Many feature articles in magazines, newspapers, television, radio, podcast interviews and theatres have expounded on this class act lady with professional rave reviews and standing ovations — over and over. Early in her career, Lady J toured as Trumpeter/ Vocalist/Music Director with Rock ‘n Roll & Blues Hall of Famer, Albert “Blues Boy” King, performing on concerts with legends such as: B.B. King, Millie Jackson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Etta James, Robert Cray & more. The group filmed a Dick Clark TV episode, live PBS concert “Maintenance Shop Blues” & other specials. Lady J has returned to her roots of St. Louis, MO & provides performances as a soloist, duo, multiple sized bands to an 18-piece big band. She’s performed in Concert Halls, Showrooms, Festivals, & a multitude of venues. An inductee in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, she received their prestigious “Women in the Arts” award from the O’Fallon, MO Chapter (2018). Her single “Hide-Away” with the Jazz Edge Orchestra is featured on the St. Louis Blues Society’s “18 in 18” compilation CD released in March 2019. In the December/January 2020 edition of the nationally distributed Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine, Lady J is one of the featured artists highlighting the St. Louis Blues music scene.
