Police Seek Help Finding Missing Man With Cognitive Delay

SKOKIE, IL —Police asked the public for assistance locating a missing Skokie man Tuesday evening. Darrell Cowan, 36, was last seen leaving a home near the intersection of Le Clare Avenue and Jarlath Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Skokie Police Department. Cowan was described as 5 feet, 6 inches, 140 pounds and Black with short hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants. According to police, Cowan has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old child and is likely to still be on foot. Anyone with information about Cowan's location was asked to contact 911 or the Skokie Police Department at 847-982-5900. This is a developing story, more information will be added as it is received.
