CRANSTON, RI — Eight Rhode Island health centers are set to receive $33.5 million to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines, said Senator Jack Reed in an announcement at Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP) in Cranston Monday. The goal of the funding, which is part of the $1.9 trillion stimulus package and $6 billion allocated to health centers last week, is to vaccinate minority populations and essential workers in Rhode Island. "Everyone must be vaccinated," said Reed. "It's not zip code related, it's health related.
