OSWEGO, IL —The Village of Oswego has announced that on April 1 it will launch a new app called MyCivic 311, which will allow residents to request repairs around the community. The App will replace the Oswego Click N Fix app, which will be retired officially April 15.
According to a release, MyCivic 311 is available on both iPhone and Android devices and, with just a few taps to the phone, can be used to request repairs to potholes and streetlights, report graffiti or missing street signs and much more.
The new app offers many of the of the same features as the old app, but now integrates with the village's enterprise resource planning system, allowing the village staff to better track staff time and resources, improve the village's overall efficiency and keep costs lower to taxpayers.
After downloading the app, users will be prompted to set their city. Then, by clicking "Report an Issue," they will be taken to a screen where they can choose the issue they wish to report. The app automatically will tag the locations of the issue, and it will allow the user to add notes and take photos of the problem from the app.
Residents also will be able to make requests to the online portal at oswegoil.org/problem, which goes live on April 1. As always, residents can report issues and request repairs by calling the Public Works Department at 630-554-3242. Any issues with the new app also can be reported to the Public Works Department.
