The company eyed a few dozen key metrics like unemployment, separation and divorce rates, most psychologists per 100,000 residents, and other statistics, and found New Hampshire ranked 43rd — meaning we're one of the least-stressed states in the nation. Nevada is considered the most stressed state. One stat that the Granite State is lowest is? The lowest share of the population living in poverty: 7.6 percent — or 2.7 times lower than the highest poverty state (Mississippi). That 7.6 percent is still too high but lower than everywhere else.
