Got sick in Febuary. Losing power then water only made the situation worse. On March 5th I was taken by ambulance to St Davids. I had a list of problems. After 3 weeks and 4 surgeries I was released yesterday. 2 Heart surgery and 2 for internal bleeding. Before I got sick I had a good job and a nice room I rented in a private home. Basically I have been out of work for almost 2 months.
I have no money or food. My landlord has given me until this Fridy to pay back rent or get out. I have no car. I had been using Lyft to get to work. My job is no longer availble. They said they could give me only 8-10 hours aa week. I am going to try to file for unemployment. I called 211 and got a list of food pantries and numbers for rental assistance. I plan on being on the phone with every last one of them tomarrow but am not sure what will happen. I am going to file my taxes but that money doesnt arrive overnight. I never recieved any stimulas checks and am trying to figure out how to apply for the latest one. I have gotten Map insurance with the help of the hospital but still cant get to Walgreens for my medications. I am 59 years old. Not old enough for the government to care. I have absolutely no family or anyone to turn to. Is there anyone out there who knows how to navigate the system? I feel so alone and am not looking for any handouts. Just tell me how to stay out of a homeless shelter and maybe if anyone can give me a ride to the pantry. If I only have 4-6 weeks to get thru this I know I will get some money coming in and another job. I am tring to regin my strength and was floored by my landlord. He didnt just ask he yelled. He lives in this house si I have been hiding in my room but he keeps knocking on my door. Well my heart is on the page here. Can anyone help? Thanks Deanna
