LA GRANGE, IL — The Park District of La Grange announced plans for its summer camp program which will be held for area young people beginning in June and will run through August. All park district camp activities will be centered around a weekly theme that will coordinate with games, water activities, sports and arts and craft, park district officials announced on Monday. There will be one counselor assigned to every eight campers to ensure safety and more individualized attention and each camper will receive a T-shirt. Camps will run between June 7 and Aug. 6 and no prorating or refunds will take place due to missed days, officials said. The deadline to register for camps will be the previous Thursday before the next weekly session is scheduled to begin. Campers and counselors will be required to wear masks over their mouth and nose when indoors or within six feet of other people. The park district announced that social distancing guidelines will be followed as much as possible and activities will be organized to maintain a six foot distance between campers. Snack and lunch tables will be spaced apart from one another and will include only two campers per table on opposite ends from one another.
