As a leading metal distributor for San Diego, Orange County, Riverside and Imperial County, Competitive Metals offers the most commonly needed metal materials for a variety of industries including construction, aerospace, motorsports, manufacturing, arts and more in all shapes and sizes. We are looking for two additional team members to join our warehouse team! The ideal candidates will be dependable, have a strong work ethic, be seeking long-term employment, take personal pride in their work, and have a positive attitude. Description of Job Responsibilities: The warehouse customer service team is responsible for being able to locate the materials ordered, safely pull and load the material into our customer's vehicles, and have excellent customer service skills to build rapport and relationships with our customers. You will assist with stocking material, learn how to use the equipment on-site to cut material, and learn how to properly package the materials for shipping, delivery, or on-site load ups. Additional responsibilities include: · Understand and follow proper tagging processes · Communicating with the sales department about customer orders · Perform material stock checks · Communicating with the purchasing department about order deliveries and inventory needs · Stocking racks with inventory · Interacting with and assisting our customers with any questions they have · Cut material as needed using a bandsaw, auto-saw, shear, or iron worker · Practice and follow proper safety rules and procedures · Keeping the warehouse clean and organized · Keeping the employee restroom and locker room clean and organized · Additional warehouse projects as needed Experience Required: · Prior warehouse experience · Ability to read a tape measure What you need to succeed in this role: · A positive attitude · Must be reliable – we need to be able to depend on you · Hardworking with a great work ethic · Courteous and professional · Effective and detailed communicator · Understand basic math, fractions, and decimals · Ability to work independently and safely · Strives to do their best and the best for their company Position Details: · This position is Full-Time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with occasional Saturdays 8am - 12pm (we are currently closed on Saturdays) · Competitive Metals offers health benefits, a 401(k) plan, employee discounts, a competitive base pay, performance raises, performance bonuses, paid vacation time, paid sick leave, and paid holidays.
