North Charlotte Homicide Victim Identified: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, NC — A homicide investigation is underway after a 29-year-old man was shot and killed in north Charlotte Monday evening. According to a police report, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received an emergency call shortly before 7 p.m. reporting an assault with a deadly weapon in the 6400 block of West Sugar Creek Road. When officers arrived, they located a man who had been shot. The victim, who was later identified as Ryan Devon Autry, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene, CMPD said.
