Join the University City Arts League and UCD for a free giveaway to celebrate Earth Day! Join the University City Arts League (UCAL) and UCD for a free giveaway to celebrate Earth Day! UCAL invites all aspiring young and old artists to head to Trolley Portal Gardens on Saturday, April 17 to pick up a free Earth Day take-home art kit to participate in a community drawing experience! Work on your art skills and add a little pizzazz to your taste pallet at the same time with our Grow-Your-Own Microgreens Kito! Sketch and consider our environment within the many public parks and green areas of West Philadelphia. RSVP to one of two time slots to reserve your kit while supplies last. Kits will be available for pickup between 10am and 12pm on Saturday, April 17 at the Trolley Portal Gardens (3940 Baltimore Avenue). When registering, choose your preferred time slot. Due to limited kits availability, please limit orders to two kits per household. While at Trolley Portal Gardens, check out the new sculpture "Single-Use Planet," created by a group of students from Penn Alexander and Sunrise Movement PAS, recently featured on The Today Show! Please note, in the event of inclement weather, kit pickup will be moved to Earth Day - Thursday, April 22, from 4pm-6pm. If we need to move the event, we will send an email to registered guests.
