ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Molloy College announced this week that it plans to return to full-time, in-person classes beginning with the Fall 2021 semester in September. The school currently offers hybrid classes, combining in-person and online learning. "We are extremely pleased that we will once again be able offer a face-to-face learning experience for our students," said Molloy President James Lentini. "We worked quickly to pivot to an online instruction model at the start of the pandemic in March 2020 and continued to offer the level of education our students have come to expect. "We are now looking forward to bringing back the in-person component of a Molloy education, a unique facet that adds an irreplaceable dimension and enhances the learning experience for all concerned." Molloy canceled in-person classes last March and shifted entirely to online learning. It reopened its dorms for the Fall 2020 semester, limiting students to single and double rooms and added temperature-taking kiosks in front of all buildings. The college says it will continue to follow all coronavirus guidelines set by the Nassau County Health Department, the state Department of Health and the CDC. "As we look toward Fall 2021, we are excited to safely offer our students a more traditional College experience," said Janine Biscari, vice president for student affairs. "We are truly looking forward to having more students back in the classroom and on campus, and once again experiencing the vibrancy they bring to our community."
