We have a Maintenance Technician position available for an apartment community in Carlsbad starting ASAP! Apartment maintenance technicians are responsible for general maintenance at the apartment community. Will be responsible for make-ready's, turns and work orders. Excellent customer service experience required and must have at least 1 year apartment maintenance experience. Successful candidates will work to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction at all times. Will be responsible for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and a variety of maintenance tasks, including cleaning up the grounds, at our communities. Responsibilities: Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion Estimate time and extent of repairs and report back findings to Maintenance Supervisor Perform routine preventive maintenance Maintain material and supply inventory Possess strong experience in the following tasks: Plumbing - sink/shower/toilet repair, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains (snaking when applicable) Electrical - replacing fixtures and switches, knowledge or proper safety protocol, rewiring when applicable Carpentry - patching holes, replacing doors/locks, hanging cabinetry, light touch-up painting Appliances - help with installation of W&D, stoves (when applicable), installing garbage disposals, small repairs ​Qualifications: Previous experience in residential maintenance - apartments, hotels or private homes Must have personal hand tools and drill - bring to site daily; do not leave at property Must have reliable means of transportation - personal or public Ability to handle physical workload Deadline and detail-oriented Must be authorized to work in the US.
