Our 2014 GL350 has a pretty gnarly rod/lifter knock and there are metal shavings in the oil. Here are a few videos of the sound: When I first got it running, the issue sounded intermittent (1st video) and then turned persistent (other videos). Our local mechanic shop told us that it had seized up, but I changed the oil and put some additives in and have it running. Likely will need to be machined, but need a mechanic who can fully diagnose and help us get it fixed up. If you have experience with these engines, please let us know if you're able to help us out.
