Schmidt Construction – Triple E Trucking JOB POSTING POSITION: Lowboy Truck Driver DATE: 3/30/2021 DEPARTMENT: EEE Trucking REPORTS TO: Trucking Manager SAFETY Adheres to all local, state, MSHA, OSHA and environmental regulations as outlined in the Employee Safe Work Guidelines booklet, Safety Rules sign-off sheet and any/all information provided by the Company. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Checks and maintains fluid levels • Drives to loading location • Maneuvers vehicle to properly load, transport, and unload equipment • Loads and secures equipment • Processes appropriate paperwork • Communicates with personnel at receiving location to determine off-loading location or obtain special instructions • Writes up or communicates repair requests to mechanics • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle • Maintains timecards, records and logs • Properly handles equipment breakdowns. • Manages and reports accidents according to process • Provides basic maintenance of vehicle • Assists with other non-lowboy tasks as needed, such us belly dump, flowboy, etc. • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to operate tractor trailer and all heavy equipment for the purpose of loading onto lowboy • Experience with heavy haul • Valid driver’s license with good driving record • Basic Mechanical aptitude • Knowledge of relevant DOT regulations • DOT Class A certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Lifting up to 50 pounds • Using hands and feet to move levers and depress pedals • Sitting for extended periods of time • Climbing on and into vehicle • Working outside
