My dream this summer is to create an experimental community of nomads like myself who love living on the edge with little 'stuff', who can be creative and resourceful with what they have, and also believe that sharing resources and creating together brings much joy and relief. I am looking at off grid parcels to purchase near water and with some tree acreage in the regions of Monte Vista, San Luis, Crestone, Del Norte. These areas have inexpensive land and are close to family whom I visit regularly. Other reasons for this area are the beautiful hot springs, sand dunes and high energy vortex valleys. The city of Alamosa is nearby if work is needed, and I would prefer to have people come who work remotely or have a sustainable income so that time can be spent in the community sharing ideas, talents and labors of love. It will be a pop-up community meant to exist for a couple of seasons just like our nomad ancestors would have lived, and the desire will be to create intimate, authentic relationships to the best of our ability and to live as an example of social closeness and direct, honest communication. Preference will be given to people already on a strong healing path, who can see through the distortion of our current society and wish to be an example of people living a natural life. We will be building temporary structures or any kind of structure that suits the purpose of creating, fun innovative ways to live on the land. As humans we need a playground, we need to share and build on the innate desires within us for harmony and peace. Minimal noise and disruptions away from cities can heal the nervous system and make it safe for us to operate differently and bring out the artist in us all. Animals and children most welcome. Musicians, singers, artists and healers of all types would find a very conducive space to collaborate. I envision a large garden for all and a community 'hang out' space for when you want to be social. These two spaces would be built as a collaborative effort and made vibrant by our willingness to have something beautiful to create. As a reference, I am a 56 year old mother, grandmother, healer, dancer, singer who is connected to nature in surprising ways and loves people and the mirror they bring to me on my journey. I and my dog, Lolo, will be spearheading this effort and finding the right energetic land which our group can make sacred. I have been nomadic for over 5 years, off and on, staying as much on the edge of the system and under the radar as possible. Through this ad, I will be creating a list of people ready to go by May 1st and who can commit to 'breaking soil' with gusto and a minimal offering of 100 per month to be put towards the village and it's building.
