Description
The Trailer Spotter’s function is to move trailers from point A to point B, doing so safely and with extreme accuracy. The Trailer Spotter acts as an advocate and professional representative of E.W. Wylie Corporation. TRAILER SPOTTER - ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS • The Trailer Spotter reports directly to the Load Securement Supervisor or Lead • The Trailer Spotter has no direct supervisory authority TRAILER SPOTTER - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for moving trailers from one location to another • Manage time and resources effectively to achieve profitability and productivity • Works independently with little or no supervision • Follow proper procedures when moving trailers, practicing safety at all times • Drives courteously and defensively exhibiting a high level of skill • Perform inspections of equipment as required under Federal regulations and company policy • Maintain a safe driving record, follow safety protocol consistently, keeping public safety top of mind • Adhere to company policies while performing job duties • Maintain a good working relationship with the customer, co-workers and other department personnel • Submit all paperwork promptly as required • Attend ongoing training as required by the company • Report accidents or other incidents immediately to the safety department • Serve as a backup to the Load Securement Specialist TRAILER SPOTTER - OTHER DUTIES • Maintain a well-groomed, clean and neat appearance • Always represent the company in a positive manner • Attend on-going training to remain familiar to upcoming changes in the industry TRAILER SPOTTER - MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures • Ability to remain positive during high pressure situations. • Long periods of sitting • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds • Frequent bending, twisting and stepping up and down TRAILER SPOTTER - EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • Possess a current tractor/trailer Class A commercial license • Possess a current DOT Medical Examiners certificate and long form • Must be 22 years of age or older • Verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience – 6 months OTR required • Class A CDL License TRAILER SPOTTER - WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS • Truck • Extreme weather conditions TRAILER SPOTTER - EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS Computer Calculator Telephone Fax and scan PC software and network Copy Machine TRAILER SPOTTER - REQUIRED Class A CDL License Company's website: • www.wylietrucking.com COVID-19 Precaution(s): • Personal protective equipment provided or required • Social distancing guidelines in place • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place APPLY NOW:
