We are an active independent retirement community seeking a dedicated, dependable, and hard-working individual to join our kitchen crew. Great hours! (NO Late Nights).  No experience?  No problem!  We will train you to ensure you are set up for success. POSITION SUMMARY  Responsible for the washing and putting away of dishes following resident meals. Provide back-up to wait-staff as needed while complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established dining room programs and procedures.  PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  •Responsible for proper washing and care of dishes and kitchen equipment.  •Perform cleaning duties as assigned. •Full understanding of proper and safe operation of dish washing equipment.  •Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE  Ability to speak and understand basic English and follow oral and written directions. Must possess ability to work well with all co-workers, managers and demonstrate teamwork. Must have a current Oregon Food Handlers Card (or obtain one within the first 30 days of employment).  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES  •Demonstrated teamwork and positive relationships with co-workers, managers, and residents •Ability to be flexible and work in changing conditions WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS  Working Conditions: Normal dining room environment involves varying conditions and circumstances with residents, staff, visitors, government agencies, etc. Stands, walks, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
