I have a 40-lb. Australian Shepherd that I need to sadly rehome. I just received news that my job is transferring me to California and I’ll be unable to bring him with me. I rescued him about 3 months ago and he’s been an amazing dog. He goes camping, hiking and paddle boarding with me all the time. He should be the only dog in the home, as he can sometimes be dominant with other dogs. It’s really important to me that he only goes to a home with a yard. He LOVES grass and I want him to have access to a yard. Australian Shepherds are working breeds and it would be preferable for someone with knowledge of the breed to get him. As he is extremely low energy for an Aussie, but they herd by nature and probably isn’t best for small kids. He knows sit, shake, wait, down and loves riding in the car. He is a special dog and I have invested a lot of training and I am asking a rehoming fee, so serious inquiries only please. He will come with a full bag of special diet food, his bed, life jacket and outdoor boots for hiking over rugged terrain. He is a really amazing dog and I’m looking forward to finding him a home with someone that will take him on as many adventures as I do.
