Part Time Sign Maker, Fabricator and Installer • Part time • Driver's License • US work authorization Job Description Paramount Signs is a growing graphic design, branding and signage company that needs to expand its production and output with a part time position. The future employee will perform various tasks during the sign manufacturing process such as painting, assembling, cutting, drilling, and installing signs both interior and exterior. Must be able to understand and work from production and installation drawings. This position requires experience in safely operating all types of fabrication tools such as table saws, jigsaws, miter saws, a drill press, a metal shear and brake, sanding tools, paint sprayers, cordless power tools and power augers. Must be reliable, trustworthy, a team player and someone who can work independently. Good communication skills and attention to detail is a must. Duties and Responsibilities: • Fabricate and install signs, including wood, ACM, aluminum, illuminated signs, routed signs and vinyl graphics. • Cut and apply vinyl to substrates. • Install vinyl graphics on vehicles. • Execute accurately site surveys. • Able to run equipment such table saws, miter saws, circular saws, jigsaws, drills etc. • Able to fulfill customer orders by the required deadline. • Maintain quality service by following organizational standards. • Complete other assigned tasks in a timely manner. • Follow safety guidelines at all times. • Keep the shop organized and clean. • Assist other individuals in the area when needed. • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • At least one year experience in the signage industry or handyman services. • Must have a strong work ethic. • Must be willing to learn and adapt. • Ability to be somewhat flexible with scheduling. • Willing to work overtime as needed. • Attention to detail is a must. • Must be able to read, write and speak English. • Must have good communication skills. • Basic math skills. • Ability to read a ruler. • Should be familiar with using basic hand tools (vinyl trim knife, utility knife, T-Square, Ruler, Tape Measurer, Calculator, Scissors, Drill, Drill press, and Hand tools, circular saw, table router, table saw, jigsaw, miter saw, sanding tools, paint sprayer, and auger). • Experience with Scissor lift or boom lift a plus. • Experience with large scale printers, laminators and plotting machines a plus. • Experience with vinyl a plus. • Must be able to work as an individual and as a team. • Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to stand for long periods of time. • Able to climb a ladder while lifting signs. Pay: From $16.00 to $19 per hour based on experience plus some benefits
