Live-in caregiver needed for intellectually disabled 26-year-old young woman. Ideal situation for retirees, graduate students (single female or couple) or single mother with young child. Currently pays up to $18/hour depending on experience up to about $2,000/month including taxes. Includes housing in downtown Boulder apartment, utilities. Duties include food shopping, household cleaning and maintenance, food preparation, driving, recreational schedule planning and accompanying if needed. This is a 24/7 position with weekly single respite days (not necessarily overnight), and caregiver is responsible for finding guardian-approved substitute caregiver for any longer times off. Must have good driving record, both covid shots, smart phone, be able to pass a drug test and background test, be reliable, compassionate, punctual and patient. Caregiver is able to maintain an additional daytime full-time job in addition to this position if desired, and maintain a normal social life. Some separately-compensated therapy dog care may be needed on rare occasions.
