SUMMARY Climate Doctors of B/CS is a Christian owned and operated HVAC Installation and Service company. The Lead Install Technician should possess the necessary creative, leadership and technical expertise to manage all of the functions of an assigned installation crew. This position actively works alongside Install Technicians throughout the installation process. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE This position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Lead Install Technician for a commercial or residential HVAC contractor. Previous experience must demonstrate effective team building, leadership and management, effective communication, and execution of duties. Other significant work experience will be considered in lieu of management experience. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Routine mathematical calculations directly relating to the installation methods used by Climate Doctors. • Able to resolve a variety of business situations ranging from simple to complex. • Communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, including but not limited to, customers, construction managers, architects, and inspectors. • The Lead must be able to identify, interpret, comprehend, write, and produce various documents, and reports associated with the successful execution of the Lead’s responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates and directs the activities of installation crews to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completion of all projects by the project deadline and within budget for labor and materials. • Responsible to the Vice President of Operations for the approval of overtime. • Responsible for completing material requisition before and after an installation project. Failure to complete this will directly affect your incentive bonuses. • BEFORE leaving for a job site, ensures all necessary equipment and materials for the assigned job are loaded on the truck. This helps to eliminate wasted trips. • Responsible to ensure each work site is cleaned of trash and debris at the end of each day and placed in the proper receptacle. • Ensures the safe operation of each installation project to include but not limited to safety training of employees, safe work area, and utilization of proper safety equipment. • Keeps track of working hours and properly tracks time within SAWIN. • Supports and encourages the fostering of ethical and positive working relationships with all customers and employees of CLIMATE DOCTORS OF B/CS. • Reports to work on time each workday and works the necessary hours each day to complete all scheduled and emergency type installation work. • Dresses in an appropriate manner accorded to this position with uniforms provided by CLIMATE DOCTORS OF B/CS. • Responsibilities and standards of assigned vehicles include: • Maintains the physical appearance of any assigned company vehicle in a manner that reflects the high standards of CLIMATE DOCTORS OF B/CS. • Interior and exterior cleanliness. Trash must be removed from the truck at the end of every business day. • Inspect daily and report any deficiencies to the Installation Manager. • Routine maintenance is completed as scheduled. • Adequately fuel vehicle at the end of each workday to minimize wasted time. • All equipment must be secured overnight, and vehicles must be kept locked when not attended. • Communicates daily with Installation Manager on details of each ongoing project. • The Lead Install Technician may be assigned other responsibilities or short-term duties not documented within this job description. • Must hold and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.
