Company Driver Summary of Work: As a Stemar Company Driver your primary responsibility would be delivering and picking up rented construction equipment from customer jobsites. When not driving, you would transition to a yard helper role working under warehouse management to test, maintain, and make repairs on rental equipment. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Company Driver As a Stemar Company Driver you increase the level of customer service we provide by directly interacting with customers; delivering/picking up equipment from jobsites and picking up materials from company vendors throughout southern California. As a Stemar yard helper you increase the level of customer service we provide by assisting with loading and unloading of customer trucks, performing preventive maintenance on rental equipment, making repairs on damaged equipment, and helping secure loads on company trucks prior to deliveries and/or unloading company trucks after deliveries. Stemar yard helpers also perform regular cleaning, maintenance, organizing, and other general labor duties in the warehouse and on request from management. JOB DESCRIPTION - Deliver and pickup to/from customers as needed in Stemar company trucks - Help warehouse staff with loading and unloading of equipment as needed - Maintain rental equipment in good working order and in clean, presentable condition - Maintain company trucks in good working order and in clean, presentable condition - Diagnose & provide accurate estimates for customer owned equipment that is brought in for repair. - Perform & log safety inspections on company work trucks - Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor QUALIFICATIONS - Valid California driver’s license & proficiency in company truck driving in the LA area - 2+ years of experience in company truck driving, clean driving record - Knowledge of how to properly secure truck loads with strapping, ratchets, etc. - Mechanically minded, good with hands, hand tools. - Ability to prioritize work assignments, flexibility with work assignments - Personal and professional integrity - Must be physically fit enough to work 8 hours a day in outside warehouse conditions (hot in summer, cold in winter) and occasionally lift/move equipment up to 90 lbs - Forklift / Chain Hoist proficiency is a plus TO APPLY: CALL (213) 625-0185 BETWEEN 8:30 AM AND 2:00 PM ASK FOR A PHONE INTERVIEW FOR THE COMPANY DRIVER POSITION Work Schedule + Compensation: 40 HOUR WEEK: Monday – Friday, 5:45am – 2:15pm COMPENSATION: Hourly starts at $14.00+ depending on skill and experience plus benefits such as healthcare, paid time off, and more.
