Description

I will NOT rehome him to you if I do not feel like he will not be going to a good home you must know what you are doing and you must know how to take care of a bird properly. Price: $400 (FIRM) Name: Rigby Nickname(s): Bee & Rigbur Gender: Male (not dna tested) Hatch Day: 5•27•2020 Favorite Food: Millet Current diet: Roudybush (NOT SEED) Species: Red-Crowned Kakariki Colour mutation: yellow pied Contact info: (Text. I don't accept calls) If you need a cage I can provide that but it will be an extra $120 dollars, for the cost of the cage. Personality; Little Bee is a very, calm and quiet boy he isn't the most energetic, but he is quite curious-- he enjoys being on your shoulder and just sitting. He's still pretty young but is in his moody teenage phase where he gets mood swings 🙄 he gets confused by the many things in this world so you can often find him studying objects with intensity and playing with them. Despite him having clipped wings, he is the best flyer there is, ((clipped wings shouldn't prevent your bird from flying, it should only slow them down if you do it correctly!!!)) Rigby is a Kakariki, these birds are needed to New Zealand and are endangered in the wild though there are thousands upon thousands in captivity and as pets. They are most known for their sassy and bad attitudes as many aren't very nice. Many people do not know how to raise kakariki's which result in the birds being mean or very self-isolated as they get older. I personally am a bird trainer and I've been working with birds for 9 years, I have raised him since the baby and he is very sweet and he will continue staying sweet as long as people interact with him. He can wear harness and he enjoys going on bike rides and long walks. He is currently on Roudybush pellet diet as well as eating fruits and vegetables daily. Seeds are very unhealthy for birds and cause a lot of issues so seeds are not okay I'm his diet. He does not talk and he is very quiet though he can be chatty sometimes he is not loud. Do not ever get a bird and only want them because you are expecting them to talk.
