Seeking an experienced Building Engineer to work with a well-known resort in the Kona area. The person in charge will be responsible for performing complex maintenance work, and repairing and maintaining all equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations of this luxurious facility. For this position, you will need at least two years of general maintenance or building operation experience in the hospitality and construction industries and a "can-do" attitude. Hours Full-time, Must be available Mon-Sun for am and pm shifts Location Kailua-Kona, Big Island Pay $20 an hour Responsibilities Perform complex construction and maintenance work including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and masonry. Repair and maintain all equipment such as ovens, heaters, boilers, fans, ice machines, lighting, etc. Repair and maintain finishes, surfaces, decks, wall coverings, doors, windows, trims, furniture, cabinets, etc. Perform routine daily operational functions. Assist with event set-up and break down. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of general maintenance or building operations in construction or hospitality. Experienced in electrical, carpentry, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, painting, instrumentation, or pool maintenance. Good mechanical aptitude.
