Job Description A Welder will perform tasks such as, welding, installation, maintenance and repair and metal fabrication. This individual will also be responsible for projects as assigned by the shop foreman and ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with the demands of the clients. Job Requirements • Thorough knowledge of the standard welding tools, equipment, materials, methods and practices • Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the welding trade • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions, report any unresolved problems to shop foreman • Strong communication and organizational skills by providing information to the shop foreman and co-workers via telephone, email and/or in person • Must be hardworking, consistent, and have a high attention to detail • Ability to work in a timely manner and complete projects within deadlines • Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions and work from sketches, diagrams and blue prints. • Skill and care in the use of equipment and tools on assignments • Responsible to make repairs and maintain welding equipment • Considerable knowledge of the properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in welding tasks • Expected to follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times • Maintain a protocol and standard of welding procedures • Train those who are new to the field or new to the current project • Continually meet internal and external expectations through teamwork, respect, willingness and the support of others • Take initiative to continually improve work processes and performance by generating new ideas for efficiency • Demonstrate excellent job performance by productivity, quality, service, safety and attendance • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed • Constantly be vigilant and aware of your surroundings to keep yourself and your co-workers safe Work Environment • Noise levels vary and at times can be loud • Varying temperatures depending on weather conditions PLEASE SEND resumes to EMAIL address.
