Guitarist, with drummer, seeks bass player (Male/Female) for newly-forming alternative originals band. Vocals a plus! Early stages, but we have a good start on some original tunes. We welcome bass player's creativity (not going to tell you how or what to play, as long as it fits with the music), as well as any original songwriting contributions from other band members. Open to various genres (garage rock, power pop, surf rock, reggae, ska, Americana, soul, R'nB, etc.), but please, no metal (heavy, black, death or otherwise). We are more of an "alternative pop/rock" sound. (Think R.E.M., Smithereens, Talking Heads, Bowie, etc.) Just started getting together in-person recently. (vaccinated/masks/reasonable precautions/etc.) Age is not an issue, 40+ age-wise ourselves, w/families/jobs, etc. so, no problems focusing on the music at-hand & the creative process. (As the saying goes, "It's all about the music.") Practice space w/PA available. Once-a-week or so get-togethers, mostly weekday evenings and with some occasional weekend afternoons, if needed. Flexible per any new member's schedule. Cheers!
