In honor of Dark Sky Week, the City of Homestead is offering a free Trolley ride to Everglades National Park for a special program. The Homestead Dark Sky Trolley will depart from Homestead Station (4 S. Krome Ave., Homestead, FL 33030) in Downtown Homestead on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 7:30 pm to arrive at Everglades National Park's Royal Palm Visitor Center / Anhinga Trail by 8:00 pm. The Starlight Walk on the Anhinga Trail will begin at 8:30 pm, where you'll discover that night is just as busy as day in the Everglades! Listen for pig frogs, look for fireflies and gator eyes! Meet at Royal Palm Visitor Center's benches. Flashlight optional. Accessible, 0.7 miles, 45 minutes. The Trolley will depart Everglades National Park at 10:00 pm for an arrival back in Downtown Homestead at 10:30 pm.
