Hillcroft Shopping Plaza is looking for a reliable, skilled maintenance technician to perform essential tasks throughout the shopping center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning, and ensuring that the shopping center is both organized and in good condition. The ideal candidate will also have significant work experience and be reliable. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform basic repairs and maintenance, such as repairing and painting walls, installing doors, replacing locks, replacing ceiling tile, replacing light bulbs, pressure washing, etc. • Installing appliances and/or equipment as needed • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues • Maintain grounds, including garden and yard upkeep, trimming, edging, mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. • Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc. • Maintaining records of any work and inspections done on-premises • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment. • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them • Collaborate with a team of workers and other professionals such as contractors, engineers, and architects during renovations and/or any constructions and overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. • Report to manager or supervisor regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress • Perform inventory on maintenance supplies • Keep repair tools and supplies clean and organized Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting • Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems • Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • General passion for creative problem-solving
