Endocarp Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Course A 2 ½ day in-person interactive intensive course. Put away your computer and learn IRL. This is your opportunity to become a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, which means “a qualified individual who has successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls at least equivalent to that received under a standardized curriculum as adequate by FDA…”, allowing you to oversee or perform the preparation of a Food Safety Plan, validation of preventive controls, reanalysis of the Food Safety Plan, and other activities appropriate to the food you are producing. This is that standardized curriculum, delivered in person, in Wilmington, DE. The course is delivered by Austin Publicover, Lead Instructor (certificate #6f6a68d1) for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course and Mia Ormes-Dalton (certificate #5b0fa1f0). This course is ideal for non-meat manufacturers and/or those regulated by FDA. The course is accredited by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA); attending the two-and-a-half-day course (20 contact hours) and passing all quizzes results in a PCQI certificate from the FSPCA and a certificate of completion from Endocarp Consulting. This dynamic, in-person, safe, socially-distanced interactive course covers: • Good manufacturing practices plus identifying Biological, Chemical (including radiological), and Physical hazards • Preliminary steps in developing a food safety plan, including conducting a hazard analysis using legitimate food safety resources • Preventive controls for Process, Food Allergens, Sanitation, Supply Chain, and more! • Verification versus validation and how to successfully conduct either in your food facility • Food safety plan overview including record keeping procedures, recall plan, and the 21 CFR 117 regulation Relevant details: • Cost: $875 per person • Dates: April 13, 14, and 15, 2021… from 9:30am to 5pm on April 13 & 14, and from 9:30am to 2pm on April 15 • Please bring: a mask that covers your nose & mouth; a note pad, a pen or pencil, and all of your questions!
