Help us deliver groceries to the Riverside community or pass out dry goods for our neighbors in need in the Fairview Park neighborhood. There are two ways we are reaching the Fairview Park community during our monthly Hope Days: 1. Riverside Apartments: We adopted the Riverside Apartment complex in July 2019 and have been delivering groceries and other resources to neighbors in need. 2. Drive Thru Food Pantry: In order to reach more people in Fairview Park, we are opening our Food Pantry as a drive thru for neighbors to receive groceries and other resources. *Free Giveaway Resources: Dry Food, Fresh Produce, Kids Books, Letters of Hope, Hygiene products, Prayer and beyond! *Partners: We could not do what we do without our amazing partners! Thank . you to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Kids Book Bank, Walmart, and Relink EVENT DETAILS: ONE HOPE DAY, MULTIPLE LOCATIONS When: Saturday, April 24th Volunteer Shift: 8:30AM-12:30PM Where: Journey Church- Fairview Park Campus (21220 Lorain Rd, Cleveland OH 44126) Parking: Please park across the street from Journey Church campus What to expect as a volunteer: 1. Drive Thru Food Pantry: Help us pass out food to cars coming through our Food Pantry. Transport food from our food pantry to guests waiting to receive food in our parking spaces. Shop our choice food pantry for our Hope Day guests. Just like a grocery store but free for our neighbors. 2. Contactless Delivery to Riverside Apartments: We will provide a list for you & the food will be loaded into your car. This role includes the generous use of your own vehicle. We ask that you have someone sign up with you as a passenger to help navigate. VOLUNTEER HEALTH SCREENING: We are required to screen all of our volunteers in order to ensure everyone’s safety. Upon arrival, you will be asked to circle YES/NO to the following questions. If your temperature is over 100F and you answer YES to any of the below questions, we will have to comply with safety guidelines and ask you to head home and rest. Questions will include: Do you have any of the following symptoms? Feverish or chills? YES/NODry cough or difficulty breathing that started in the last 14 days? YES/NOStomach troubles that started in the last 14 days, like diarrhea, stomach pain, or feeling sick to your stomach? YES/NOHave you traveled internationally or across state lines in the last 14 days? YES/NOHave you had close contact (within 6 feet for more than 30 minutes) with a confirmed/probable case of COVID-19? YES/NOReminder of Safety Guidelines for volunteering: Masks are required. Help us enforce social distancing. Please nod or wave. Refrain from shaking hands, hugging or touching others.Sanitation stations: We will have sanitation stations all around the eventSERVING ATTIRE: We will be outside for our entire serving time, therefore, please dress accordingly.
