Volunteers are needed to help clean Bridge 3 at the north end of Riverside Park. The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be cleaning Bridge 3 just north end of Riverside Park. This bridge is known to be very slippery when wet due in part to mold and mildew accumulation. We'll be working to remove it to prevent crashes. Volunteers will perform some of the following work: Applying a cleaning solution to deck boardsScrubbing deck boards with a brushOperating a power washerCarrying water from a nearby source by bikeRemoving excess water with a squeegeeWhat to Bring: WaterSunscreenGloves (We'll have a few pair on hand as well)Where to Meet: Bridge 3 is at the northern end of Riverside Park on the trail just north of Riverside Park. It's 0.2 miles from the parking lot. See image below for map from the parking lot to work location.
