PURPOSE As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible to develop, direct and manage a team in a safe and efficient manner. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Direct and manage effective repairs and installation in assigned area • Manage and supervise preventative and predictive electrical and mechanical programs • Coordinate training of the workforce in safety and technical areas to continuously improve their abilities • Assist in necessary troubleshooting of maintenance problems and coordinate required solutions • Supervise the procurement, organization, and inventorying of required parts and materials for repairs • Develop and monitor all major maintenance projects and AFEs • Ensure equipment performs in a safe manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations • Selects oversees and directs contracted repair services for preventative maintenance of the facility such as roof repairs, equipment, life safety, and general maintenance of the building SPECIFIC DUTIES: • Train and Supervise staff of the maintenance department • Prepares maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads • Ensure company premises and facilities are kept clean and hygienic condition • Oversees all repairs and ensure that work is completed in a timely manner • Implement workplace safety policies and standards EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with at least 4 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing plant required and experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Knowledge and ability to perform complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs • Knowledge and ability to use small hand and power tools to make repairs or perform building maintenance as needed • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, automation, and environmental controls • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, word documents and presentations • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management • Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management • Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Flexible and able to prioritize • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
