Buckminster Fuller's brilliant idea for saving water when you shower

Description

What you do is mix AIR with the water. That way, you can use less water and still get enough pressure. It might be objected that you will need electricity to run a compressor, but why not pump air manually or by foot pedal into a holding tank where the air is stored until a valve is opened to release it into the water stream? No need for electricity, no need for power plants, no need for a compressor, just use your own muscle power. There will be a one-way valve where the air goes into the tank. If you want to be fancy, you may want to devise a way to control the valve at the other end by turning your shower faucet. That way, you'll turn both air and water on or off at the same time. By the way, since I touched on saving electricity, I would recommend going back to the old-fashioned type of sewing machine that's operated by a foot treadle. Here too, you can substitute your muscle power for electricity.
