Green Iguana Rehoming

Description

Siggy the Iggy is looking for a new home! Siggness is a 7 year old Axanthic green iguana with half a tail (lost a couple years back to an infection). I am looking for someone who is experienced in caring for reptiles and who has enough space and time to take him. Right now my life has me traveling around the state and committing to taking care of Siggy is becoming a burden. He currently resides in a 7.5' x 4' x 6' enclosure that I built. I am willing to help take this enclosure down and set it back up if the person who takes my lizard is within Seattle/Bellevue. I am willing to drive up to 4 hours to someone who is willing to take him and does not require the enclosure. I will also allow pick ups. The enclosure is open air, and is not internally heated. Instead I have a space heater set up in the room he is housed in to keep the ambient temperature at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. His daily routines is currently this: Lights on at 9:00 am. Lights off at 9:00 pm (12 hours). He gets a bath nightly around 7:00 pm. (The end of his tail has difficulty shedding). He eats: staple greens: including collard greens, rainbow chard, watercress, dandelion greens, endive, and fennel. Staple veggies: Yellow squash, zucchini, butternut squash, carrot, peas, lima beans, acorn squash, green onions, spaghetti squash, and parsnip. Fruit: once a week he gets fruit including mango, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Calcium: He gets calcium supplements mixed in with his veg once a week. He is not a picky eater and will try most anything. That said he doesn't like mustard greens. There is a $50 adoption fee, but I do want to make sure he gets a good home, so please reach out to me with questions or interests. I am in no rush to rehouse him and will take my time interviewing potential adopters, so please expect me to ask additional questions especially regarding enclosures and space.
