Description
I am saddened to be writing this ad but my 1 year, 9 month old Red and Blue Heeler needs a new home and owners with alot of time and effort to give towards his mental health. Zuko is an energetic, playful sweet, handful, with some anxiety issues causing aggression. I think he could make progress and become better under the right guidance and environment.
We have roommates and live in a basement with thin floors so the anxiety caused by noises upstairs, not getting along with the dog upstairs, and people coming down the stairs is hard for our heeler to make progress in his aggression issues. He has alot of energy to burn and I believe he would do best living on open land with a job to do. I don't know how he would do around other animals on a farm or new home. He is very tough and if he gets into a fight with another dog or animal he could cause alot of harm. I want to find someone who has time to give him attention and play or give him a job somehow on land. He also would benefit being in behavioral training with a professional.
We arent in a financial situation to live without roommates but cannot risk having Zuko around other people or animals. I don't want him to hurt anyone. He is my buddy and I usually playful and sweet and listens somewhat. But when anxiety sets in and he feels weird, it comes out as aggression. I feel we can't give him the release of energy he needs, financial help he needs, or home environment and daily routine he needs. Hopefully someone wants to take him on and give him all of that. He also needs to be neutered. Free to the right home.
Please email me why you think you would be a good fit and why you're ready and capable of taking the responsibility of Zuko on.
