The 10th Anniversary DFW GI JOE and Action Figure Show is one of the largest action figure collectors shows in the US with over 30 vendors. The Dallas/Fort Worth GI Joe Collectors Club is proud to present: The 10th Annual GI Joe & Action Figure Toy Show For the previous 9 years, action figure collectors and enthusiasts from across the United States have come to browse one of the largest action figure shows in Texas but with pandemic, we were forced to cancel last years show. This year’s show will go forward barring a forced shutdown. The show features more than 11,000 square feet of dealer space, featuring action figures and accessories – both vintage and new. Collectors track down rare pieces and uncover an arsenal of fun and fascinating toys, including G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Marvel Comic figures, and many more. We will also have an Action Figure Contest with large and small classes as well as a new Junior Class and Senior Class in Figures, Vehicles and Diorama categories. XXXL and larger shirts slightly more) One day entry with Early Bird Convention Package: One day entry with the ability to enter the show one hour prior to the General Admission. $40 Two day entry with Early Bird Convention Package: Two day entry with the ability to enter the show one hour prior to the General Admission. $65 Additional DFW GI JOE And Action Figure Show T-shirt $25 ea (XXXL + $30) Convention Exclusives: The first U.S. Navy Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT) were established during World War II to conduct beach reconnaissance on Japanese held beaches in the Pacific. Initially, the men were usually accomplished swimmers and wore little or no equipment when conducting recon missions on their target beaches. Wearing only trunks, fins and a mask, the swimmers carried a knife and a diving board to annotate beach obstacles for use by the naval gunfire teams. Later in the war, the UDT were tasked to destroy beach obstacles to clear paths for the landing crafts and amphibious vehicles coming ashore. Later during the Korean War, the UDT swimmers were sent into the colder waters off the Korean Peninsula to reconnoiter the beaches, first at Inchon and later Hungnam for assaults by United Nations forces. This time the swimmers wore special insulated full body swimsuits, fins, masks, their trusty K-Bar knife with scabbard, dive board and demolition kits in bags. These swimmers did not use SCUBA gear or diving tanks for their missions until later in the war. The DFW GI JOE Collectors Club would like to thank the US NAVY UDT and SEAL Museum for assistance in researching these figures sets. The club members worked hard in modeling and sculpturing this new figure. This figure is available to pre-purchase for delivery at the show and comes bundled with a weekend pass to the show and “Early Bird” privileges on Saturday morning! This new figure package is ALSO available to order even if you are not able to travel to the show, and will be shipped out after the event. This includes all items in the attendee package. There will be a small additional charge (exact costs) for USPS postage and materials with tracking to your door. This additional charge will be requested as we work through the orders after the show. The price for this bundle is $75 Exclusive Vintage Style 12 inch/1:6 Gear & Accessory Set Bundle: US Navy UDT Swimmer (Korean War era) As in years past, we are again offering a themed vintage style 12 inch/1:6 boxed gear and accessory set as a show exclusive for 2020. This year’s theme is unique as it will portray a Navy swimmer from the Korean War. This set will include an authentic scaled reproduction of the olive green swimmer’s suit, fins and mask worn by the Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT) swimmers. This swimmer will include a web belt with K-bar knife with scabbard, a demolition bag with demo charges and a diver board for navigation and annotating beach obstacles. Bundled with this exciting set is a weekend pass to the show that includes “Early Bird” privileges on Saturday morning!
