Rock Band Seeks Lead Singer
Meets
Nederland CO
Description
Hey there! We're a drummer, bassist and guitarist looking to complete our line up with a high-energy, passionate singer with some edge to them. Right now we've got a setlist comprised of mainly covers and one original. We've been starting with covers as a way to get to know each other and our styles although we're definitely interested in moving in the original band direction. Even though we are playing lighter things and more "mainstream" songs right now, everyone has expressed an interest in moving in a heavier direction. We're 20, 24 and 27 years old. Age is not a priority for us but if it is for you, there's that. The bassist and guitarist have been playing together for over two and a half years including in other music projects and our drummer has been with us for a little over a month. We're all 420, shroom and alcohol friendly, nothing beyond that though. We practice twice a week (seems to be usually Tuesdays and Thursdays so far) however the bassist and guitarist live together and play almost everyday so the practice schedule is open to flexibility. We're definitely looking to play out regularly, so not a "just for fun" band but I've always figured the playing out part is the most fun part so, that. It seems like everyone's envisioning a female vocalist right now but it's definitely a lot more about finding someone who will mesh with the band and have that passion and drive. A basic understanding of music theory and previous experience is definitely a must for us. Please no inflated personalities or rockstar attitudes, so if you feel that you're god's gift to music this project is not for you. A passion for writing music and lyrics is a huge plus. Confident and strong stage presence is also a must. Clean singing is definitely what we're primarily looking for but people who like to explore with screams and raps in addition to singing are always appreciated. Our setlist right now: Putting Holes in Happiness - Marylin Manson Drive - Incubus Xs & Os - Elle King Adam's Song - Blink 182 Parking Lot Harmony/D.I.Y. Orgasms - Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains (Original written and performed by the guitarist) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umnHMKyveXk Some notable covers we've been doing: Stinkfist - Tool Make it Stop - Rise Against Harder to Breathe - Maroon Five My Own Worst Enemy - Lit Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz Santeria - Sublime Soul Meets Body - DCFC Zombie - Cranberries Sex and Candy - Marcy Playground Help! - The Beatles Misery Business - Paramore
