MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Public Schools has scheduled a high school graduation ceremony and is "optimistically" planning more events for seniors, Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent said Friday. Graduation will be held June 2 at Hormel Stadium. There are also tentative plans for prom and other outdoor activities for students. This comes as the district set a new benchmark for its COVID-19 testing program, marking more than 3,000 tests without a single positive last week. Students and staff are urged to continue to wear their masks, practice social distancing and stay home if they are feeling unwell. Members of the School Committee will host roundtables next week to gather feedback from families and staff regarding the district's Strategic Plan: Monday, April 5, 5:00 – 6:30 https://mps02155-org.zoom.us/j/91225128810 Tuesday, April 6, 6:00 – 7:30 https://mps02155-org.zoom.us/j/91604815648 See below for Medford's schedule for phasing back into full in-person learning (first date transition to four days, second date full in-person): Grades K and 1 March 22 April 5 (includes cohort A) Grades 2 and 3 March 29 April 5 (includes cohort A) Grades 4 and 5 N / A April 5 (includes cohort A) Grades 6-12 April 12 April 26 (includes cohort A)
