BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton man has been accused of trafficking victims for sex at hotels and residences in Eastern Massachusetts, said Attorney General Maura Healey in a news release Friday. Gabriel Jean Marie, 35, was indicted by a Statewide Grand Jury Thursday on multiple sex trafficking and conspiracy charges, said Healey. Tremaine Wilder, 32, of Taunton was also indicted in connection with the scheme and Patterson Skeete, 56, of Jamaica Plain and Michael Webster, 37, of Randolph were indicted on charges of purchasing sex for a fee. Prosecutors say Jean Marie recruited victims for commercial sex and acquired evidence that he posted advertisements on commercial sex websites, transported victims, and paid for hotel rooms in places including Brockton, Westwood, and Boston. He also allegedly collected all proceeds from the operation. Jean Marie will be arraigned in Suffolk, Norfolk, and Plymouth Superior Courts at later dates.
