Felix, a great dog now in foster care

Hello Craigslist :) I foster dogs for the Detroit animal shelter. I try to keep my eyes peeled for good homes for good dogs. Currently I am fostering Felix, a 6-year-old male mix, lab and German Shepherd. He is going to be in foster care with me for the next several weeks or so as he recovers from heartworm and homelessness. The staff see a lot of dogs at this shelter, and they saw something special in this dog, so he got lucky and qualified for the foster program. I see it too. He knows a lot of commands and seems to be a very smart dog. However like many dogs from this shelter, he is scared of other dogs and would have to be the only dog in his forever home.
