Job Description MotoQuest Anchorage seeking Entry Level Technician to assist in local motorcycle shop for a seasonal position. MotoQuest is a motorcycle tour and rental company featuring primarily BMW GS series motorcycles for rentals and guided tours. For more information check out our website www.motoquest.com Position is Full Time, five days per week, 8:30am to 5:30pm and schedule is subject to variation depending on the needs of the business. Job starts late May 2021 and ends early September 2021, with a possibility of continued work. MotoQuest prefers candidates with the following attributes Valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement Clean driving record Ability to drive with a trailer Enthusiasm for motorcycling Attention to detail Strong organizational skills Flexibility in schedule and duties Experience maintaining and repairing modern motorcycles Duties include: Prep and maintain trucks and trailers to be mission-ready at all times Full damage inspection of motorcycle and tour equipment upon return Basic motorcycle and truck preventive maintenance work including Oil changes Tires Lights Fork seals Brake pad and fluids Air filter service Chain & sprocket service and change Electrical diagnosis Test ride equipment prior to service to diagnose issues Test ride equipment after service to ensure it is ready for the next customer Entering maintenance data into rental software application Invite walk-ups to join our electronic newsletter mailing list Assist motorcycle washer as needed Keep lot presentable and free of debris Keep storage spaces clean and organized Keeping office and service areas clean and organized Other duties as assigned Please no calls about this position or stopping by unless we contact you.
