"GHS World Language students have a long and successful history of placing at the state contest," GHS World Language Teacher Elizabeth Fancher said in a news release. "Congratulations to Hannon for her outstanding work of art."
Each year, the poster contest invites individual students to submit original artwork that addresses a theme. This year's theme is "languages celebrate our differences." This year's contest had 157 entries from over 40 high schools.
"It was truly a pleasure to see so many beautiful works of art," CT COLT Spokesperson Melissa Tubbs said in a news release. "Choosing the winners of this year's contest was a difficult task for the judging committee. Every student who submitted a poster should be commended."
