ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst Police Department made five arrests for illegal possession of cannabis along with other offenses in recent days. Here is information from the reports: Efrain Quezada, 28, Melrose Park, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on March 25 for possession of cannabis and driving with one headlight. He was released on bond. Marcal Smith, 26, Rantoul, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. on March 26 for driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane change, and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver. He was released on bond. Joshua Lamping, 22, Aurora, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. on March 26 for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and speeding. He was released on bond. Terrell Payton, 24, Chicago, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. on March 27, for possession of a fraudulent identification card, possession of cannabis by a driver, no valid driver's license, improper lane change, tinted windows and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail and was later released. Kyle Sowards, 32, Chicago, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. on March 27 for domestic battery. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail and later released. Amy Ryan, 45, Elmhurst, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. on March 27 for disobeying a stop sign. She was released on bond. Martiz Owens, 27, Chicago, was arrested at 1:36 p.m. on March 28 for improper lane usage, failure to give aid or information at a property damage accident. He was released on bond. Shakur Underwood, 24, Chicago, was arrested at 10:09 p.m. on March 28 for possession of cannabis by a driver, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with only one headlight.
